Unit 081 ~ 090

 

받아쓰기 9일 정도 되니 못 들어서 틀리는 문장들 보다는 단어 철자 틀리는 문장들이 더 많아지는 것 같다.

문장을 다 못 듣는 경우는 관사, 과거형, 전치사 들어가는 문장들에서 많이 못 듣고 있다.

기초적인 문법 공부를 했는데도 불구하고 잘 안 들린다.

대표적인 게 wanted to 꼭 to를 빼먹는 것 같다.

그리고 아직도 a / the는 쉽지 않다.

어느 정도 확실하게 보이는 것들은 구분하는데 들어도 그렇고 문장을 봐도 그렇고 잘 구분이 안 가는 것들이 많다.

가끔 두 번째 주어 동사에서 주어를 빼먹는 경우도 있구나...

받아쓰기를 하다 보니 내가 부족한 부분들을 더 잘 알 수 있게 되는 것 같다.

부족한 부분은 당연히 못 들을 테니까 말이다.

부족한 부분을 연습하다 보면 문법도 익숙해지고 잘 듣고 잘 말할 수 있게 될 것이라 생각한다.

영어도 운동과 마찬가지로 연습하면 된다라는 얘기를 믿고 끝까지 지치지 않고 반복에 반복에 반복 연습을 하자!

시간과 노력은 배신하지 않는다.

Unit 081 : a lot, much, many

 

Unit 082 : (a) little, (a) few

Unit 083 : old / nice / interesting, etc. (adjectives)

Jessica has brown eyes.

There's a very old church in this town.

I don't speak any foreign languages.

 

Unit 084 : quickly / badly / suddenly, etc. (adverbs)

The train stopped suddenly.

I opened the door slowly.

I felt nervous.

Your English is very good.

 

Unit 085 : old / older, expensive / more expensive

Helen wants a bigger car.

 

Unit 086 : older than... more expensive than...

The Capitol Hotel is more expensive than the Grand Hotel.

The restaurant is more crowded than usual.

I can run faster than him. or I can run faster than he can.

I got up earlier than her. or I got up earlier than she did.

 

Unit 087 : not as... as

I don't play soccer as often as you.

The weather is better than it was yesterday. It isn't as cold.

Tennis isn't as popular as soccer. Soccer is more popular than tennis.

 

Unit 088 : the oldest, the most expensive

old / oldest, cheap / the cheapest, nice / the nicest, good / the best, bad / the worst

easy / the easiest, heavy / the heaviest, pretty / the prettiest

What is the longest river in the world?

Excuse me, where is the nearest bank?

What is the most unusual thing you've ever done?

 

Unit 089 : enough

Is there enough salt in the soup? Yes, it's fine.

We wanted to play football, but we didn't have enough players.

Why don't you buy a car? You've got enough money.

Can you hear the radio? Is it loud enough for you?

Is your English good enough to have a conversation?

 

Unit 090 : too

His shoes are too big for him.

Can you turn the radio down? It's too loud.
